Let's Try This Again...

I started this blog several years ago, and have not kept it up; I'm going to try to be better about this, because I have a lot to say.  We'll see what happens.

Everyone needs a place to share their voice, and blogging is a perfect way to do that.  You may write for years and no one ever read a word, but you've gotten out of your system what you were processing and that is huge.

I'll share on Facebook when I write something new - feel free to ignore it or share it.  That is entirely up to you.

The One who never leaves the one behind.

The Lord has been rocking my world over the last 24 hours with this word: "He's the One who never leaves the one behind." It's a beautiful line in a song we sang at church last night, but it goes beyond being a beautiful lyric.  HE DOESN'T - WON'T - LEAVE THE ONE (or us) BEHIND.  He just won't. Warfare in the Spotlight

Disclaimer: I stumbled upon this post from another blog I had a while ago, like 3 years ago, and wanted to post it here.  Since this was written I've experienced many more battles.  It is vital that we become skilled warriors. 1 Peter 5:8 8  Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. I got this in living color yesterday!  We most definitely have an enemy looking for a way to knock us out of the fight.  As a lead worshiper, I, along with the rest of the worship team, am on the front lines of the battle.  Yesterday morning (Sunday), I was being "punched" at every turn.  Never once was I able to gain a "firm stance".  Every time I turned around something else was going wrong.  This all started during worship rehearsal, and extended through our first service.  I had trouble singing, and things were tilted.  There was a kind-of stillness in...

Be A Tigger in an Eeyore World!

Any of you who have been following my blog know that I preach, regularly, that most things are choices. We choose what we are going to do, how we are going to do it, the attitude we are going to have, etc. Sometime it's really easy to make the right choices... other times... not so much.  I find myself, as many of you do (I'm pretty sure of this assessment), in a place of having to make the hard choice of being joyful . Why is it so hard? Because we are living in difficult times. There seems to be an overwhelming sense of sadness, unrest, oppression, disfunction, etc. everywhere we go. Things are different. We have to wear a mask everywhere we go (that is a debate all by itself; one that I am not entering into here). It seems like EVERYTHING takes longer to do. The things that we once did to pass the time we can no longer do. Yep! Everything is difficult, and it sucks - a lot. (No sense in sugar-coating it!)
